The Malta Poker Open Programme:
Since the first live satellites which took place in the month of August, hundreds of players got together every month to try their shot at winning a seat for the Malta Poker Open €1,100 main event.
With just a few days to go, we already have a list of ‘A’ class players who will be joining in on the action at the Portomaso Casino, St. Julians, Malta, for the second edition of what many Maltese players proclaim as the most anticipated tournament of 2010. Friday 29th October 2010
6:30pm – Opening Ceremony & re-enactment: the In Guardia parade.
The IN GUARDIA PARADE is a historical re-enactment that portrays an authentic historical event set in the late 16th – early 17th century. During the re-enactment the fort’s garrison is dressed in uniforms to demonstrate its military prowess.
Watch Grandmaster La Valette as he hands over the ‘Sword of Honour’ [and trophy 1st prize] to the Malta Poker Open tournament director, whilst saluting the players and opening the tournament with an explosive ceremony.
7:30pm – PokerQueen of the Rock – Ladies event [€100 + 10]
A tournament aimed specifically at the ladies, where they will compete for the title, PokerQueen of the Rock and the tournament bracelet for this year’s ladies tournament. Ladies of all experience levels are invited! The tournament will also be attended by 3 danish cover girls, who are flying in specifically for this event after several weeks of poker training by three of Denmark’s finest Poker Coaches.
8:30pm – Malta Poker Open Sit n Go satellites [€110 + 10]
Players who haven’t qualified for the Malta Poker Open 2010 main event need not fret. This is the aspiriing player’s final chance at qualifying for the €1,100 event through a series of SNG tournaments, paying out one in every ten players.

2:30pm – Main event Day 1 [€1,100]
Join the action at Malta’s hottest Poker tournament and take your chance at winning a chunky prize-pool to start off autumn with a bang. The tournament will give players 15,000 chips as their starting stack and will feature 50 minute blind levels.

2:30pm – Main event Day 2 [€1,100]
Day 2 of the Malta Poker Open – Powered by XLBetwill start with the Day 1 ‘survivors’ and will progress until one player is left at the table for the prize giving ceremony.
Day 2 will feature a live audience set-up for players who would like to support their friends, or just come and watch the live action at our specialised set-up for live audience entertainment. This will take place at the onset of the final table start.

Side Events and Cash games
Various tournaments and cash games will be going on throughout the three day Malta Poker Open, so even if you’re not taking part in the main event, there’s no reason to miss the Malta Poker Open. Just pop by and take a seat at one of the many tables available.
Available to the Malta Poker Open 2010 participants and cash game players. Players will be enjoy a fully fledged buffet with exquisite culinary creations, and selected cuisine prepared by the most accomplished chefs at the Portomaso Complex.
Final table action and audience set-up
For this year’s tournament we have specifically designed the final table area for the audience to enjoy the final table action with unrestricted views, as well as a projected stream of the table action for everyone to enjoy. Players are encouraged to invite their family and loved ones to support them during the final stage of the Malta Poker Open.
