Casino Di Venezia – Malta Madness
Day 2 update:
After a gruelling first day at the felt with 74 players who registered for the €1,100 event, the Malta Madness tournament is now down to the last 27 players. Nick Jensen is in the lead with 130,900 chips, and is very closely followed by Robeto Nulli in second place with 129,200. Both players are at the same table so their opponents must be having a really hard time catching up with these two monsters sharing the same space.
Third place is occupied by Marcus Naalden with 94,000 chips who is seated at Table no. 7, and closely followed by Victor Dedek holding 87,400 chips.
The only remaining Maltese Poker player in the tournament is our very own Gordon Mifsud, who has often been featured in our pages as the winner of several tournaments, and numerous more ‘in the money finishes’. Holding 46,100 chips, Gordon is seated at the table with the biggest stacked players mentioned earlier, Jensen and Nulli. A very consistent player, Gordon is notoriously dangerous at the felt. He is constantly changing gears, disallowing his opponents to get reads on him, unless he specifically intends them to, setting them up for dangerous traps along the way.
Amongst the rest of the more famliar players at the tournament there is Anna Colley in 10th place holding 59,100 chips and also Danish player Jacob Nielsen, from XLBet.com – Title sponsors for the Malta Poker Open, October 2010 – who is holding 33,600 chips at 20th place.
Today we will see the final winner of the Malta Madness tournament at the Casino di Venezia. The final table will definitely feature some high quality action, and poker fans are invited to follow the live blog on Facebook by clicking this link or watching the live stream atMalta Madness Live Stream
