Charity Poker Tournament
This August, the Malta Poker Events team, Portomaso Casino and Betfair are joining forces for the charity poker tournament of the year. The Betfair Lifecycle Poker Masters 2010 is the first official tournament of it’s kind and is being hosted at the splendid Portomaso Casino, right in the heart of St. Julians.
A concept which was originally envisioned by Emerson Farrugia, a regular player in the local poker scene, turned into reality when all the parties involved got together and planned a fund-raising event to benefit the Life Cycle organisation.
The charity live Poker tournament is taking place on Tuesday the 3rd August 2010 at the Portomaso Casino, St. Julians, Malta, and will feature a buy-in of €40 + €4. 50% of the pot will be donated to the Lifecycle charity, where-as the rest will be available for players to win as cash prizes, taking up the prize pool up to a potential €2,000.
Players will be delighted to know that apart from the prize-pool, they will also stand the chance to win up to €2,000 in additional prizes from a variety of contributors who joined in for this great cause.
The buy-in for the tournament also includes raffle tickets which will give players better odds of going home with a prize at the end of the action packed fund raiser.
In addition, the tournament also features knock-out element whereby players who knock out a competing Lifecyclist will be eligible to additional bounty prizes!
The Portomaso Casino is also adding the tournament fees as their donation to the package and will be providing all the players with a selection of finger foods and a variety of beverages to keep them refreshed and well fed throughout the event.
Players and other visitors may also meet up with the athletes who will be participating at the lifecycle challenge and may gain more insight as to what pushed the courageous participants to take up this year’s challenge.
You may register for the lifecycle challenge at the Portomaso Casino from the 1st August between 10am – 4am, but make it quick, the event is capped at 100 players making this a limited placement tournament!

Anybody who is eligible to enter a live casino in Malta is invited to play at the event which has been structured for regulars and newbies alike.
