The €1,100 tournament is expected to attract over 300 players, and is acepting a maximum of 250 players per starting day, on the 30th & 31st March 2011.
Amongst the players who have already confirmed their participation, Filippo Candio is also rumoured to be attending the event. Filippo was one of the WSOP November 9 in last year’s main event, managing to go back to his homeland with over $3 million in winnings for placing 4th.
The Malta Poker Dream will also act as a set for an upcoming Italian Poker Movie, named Poker Generation. There will also be casting going on at the Portomaso Casino throughout the tournament days for any players who would be intersted in appearing in the movie as extras.
As part of the Malta Poker Dream schedule, the organisation has provided sponsorships for the winners of the bigger events, the biggest of which is a €30,000 sponsorship for the winner of the main event. There will also be sponsorships for a ladies event and the OnLive tournament.
