Malta Team Poker Results
The Team Poker tournament at the Casino di Venezia attracted 126 players that made up 42 teams for one wild poker tournament that reached a prize-pool of €3,780.
The event started on Saturday the 7th May at 8:30pm and kept going till the 11th level at which point the players went on a break and continued the following day at 3pm. 38 players started on day 2 for a total of 25 teams.
After several hours of top poker action, the DarkFighters emerged victorious after team member Noel Dark beat his final rival Edward Borg in a heads up battle that was over within a few hands. Edward Borg had suffered a string of swings throughout the 2nd day after starting as the 5th biggest player, then dropping to 6,000 chips and eventually evening out with his final opponent at the final table.
The Casino di Venezia did a fantastic job at running the tournament under the supervision of Christine Sammut, who admitted that a tournament of this kind, with so many variables is not a simple one to run, although it proved as much fun for her as it was for the many players who flocked to the event.
