The winners of the tournament on Sunday’s online satellite were junkie1212 andBeMYFriendPls, and both players were in a very good position right from the start of the tournament, with junkie1212 who dominated for a good part of the tournament duration. The tournament picked up a relatively quick pace, and it was not long before IwonderHow, jakobandit, bonolu and Maltese favorite eatu77, had consumed all their available chips.  Just after the break shp2k and FLISELISE were also out of the tournament.  FLISELISE, who was playing his power poker strategy as we had seen him live at the Malta Poker face Off, was the big boy didn’t hold back from  getting the chips to the middle of the table.

So it was time for Makraen and BeMyFriendPls to get some chips, and they clashed together in a blind battle, with makraen who pushed 10J all in from a 150 SB –only to seeBeMyFriendPls call from BB holding A4. It looked great for makraan when the turn showed a 10, after a dead flop. BeMyFriendPls was probably already packing up before he hit his ace on the river sending out makraan in 5^th place. We were then down to the final four, but only for a short moment, as babylove26 made the wrong move at the wrong time.  From 1st position she opened with 1,250 on Junkie1212’s BB, junkie1212 called to see his AQ hitting the nuts on a 10KJ flop, he checked only to see an easy decision coming up as babylove26decided to move the last 7901 chips   to the middle. As babylove was holding A6, there were only 3 queens back for a split, no ladies were out for a party that night so it was a goodbye for babylove26. We were then down to three players – in the final handSchlagzeilenDK pushed A5 all in, BeMyFriendPls, waited it over and made the call with K10, hitting he King, and on his to the Malta Poker Open 2010 together with junkie1212.
